It’s the day before the NEW JERSEY Giants play on Super Bowl XLVI and we’re trying to finish up this week’s project today so that we don’t miss a single second of the game tomorrow. We were craving something sweet and tart, so we decided to do a very unusual experiment with our cocktail this week…use yogurt instead of one of the traditional mixers. We were a little afraid because we didn’t know how the yogurt would hold up to the tequila, but the flavor that we picked was perfect. The drink was every bit as delicious as a real Key Lime Pie, but also very light and smooth. Here’s the recipe: Read more →

The second day of a long weekend usually means another cookout. We’re making another delicious drink, this time with a kick of jalapenos!
Makes one pitcher
- One bottle (.750 ml) of Jose Cuervo Silver tequila
- One bottle (1.75 liters) of Tropicana Trop50 Pomegranate Blueberry juice (yes, it’s low-cal too!!!)
- One cup of Triple Sec
- One medium size jalapeno
- Lime slices for garnish
Pour the entire bottle of tequila into a large pitcher. Next, using rubber gloves, slice the jalapeno in half and add to the tequila. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes (or longer, if you’d like it hotter). Take the jalapeno out and add the rest of the ingredients and let it rest for about 1 hour. Serve over ice and garnish with the lime. Happy Sunday!

They always have lots of great stuff, and the owners are usually willing to negotiate on the price. This time around we actually saw a big concrete relief of Daffy and Porky Pig dressed as Sherlock Holmes and Watson with a title of “Mystery.” I wish we had a yard big enough for a garden so that we could make that the centerpiece!
