Now that the days are getting longer, the sun is giving me spring fever. Unfortunately it’s still too cold to be outside . . . so Alberto and I decided to do a little spring cleaning with the closets. We usually donate the clothes to charity, but when I saw a worn pair of jeans, I had a different idea. Why not make them into pot holders?! The thickness of the denim would help reduce the heat through the pad, and it would add a great look to the kitchen. Then Alberto suggested that we should make them into the shape of the house in our logo. What a great idea! I found some old fabric to put in the “window,” and now we have these really unique potholders that are sure to help us in the kitchen! Read more →

We have two silver ornaments of an A and B (for Alberto and Brent). It made me smile because we made those ornaments years ago, for our second year in our first house. Here’s how we came up with them… Read more →
Our Thanskgiving table is ready! All we need now is the food (we’re not cooking this year — we’re not that crazy!). Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement over the past weeks and we hope that y’all have a great Thanksgiving weekend!
