We’ve had two outside wooden tables just sitting in our basement for the last several years. They’re very functional, but they were so beaten up that we didn’t like using them anymore. We finally brought them up for our party on Memorial Day (covered with a table cloth, of course), and left them setup by the back door out of shear laziness. Read more →

On our recent visit to Spain, we saw a lot of design ideas while shopping through home and interior design shops. One shop in particular had a mirror that really inspired us. Since the white marble tile tray from a few weeks ago was so easy to make and it looked so nice, we decided to do another one…albeit, a bit different. We were walking through Home Depot, and Alberto saw a Carrera marble floor jam. We put three silver handles on it, and it is now a great and interesting serving tray! This is one of those projects that is quick and easy, and it can turn a nice affair into something really elegant. And you don’t have to spend a lot of money!
